I’m Blake (They/Them). I’m an Illustrator and Animator based in Denver, Colorado who explores themes of nature, scientific illustration, surrealism, and occasionally horror. I attended Rocky Mountain of Art + Design where I studied the art of animation. From there I went on to work full time as an independent creator.
My goal is to be a community-based artist, uplifting those who are also interested in this craft and the natural world around us.

Growing up in the Rocky Mountains has made the outdoors a huge core of my art. Plants, wildlife, and geology are all interests that have influenced me. My goal will always be to reflect the natural world in my work, whether illustration, animation, or sculpture, combining surrealism, horror, and mystique with nature are my favorite themes to explore.
When not depicting nature my other obsession is animals, particularly invertebrates, amphibians, and reptiles. Striving to build ideal enclosures has improved my appreciation of the ecosystems around us. My dart frogs (dendrobates auratus green and black) are my pride and joy as a frog keeper. I have achieved my childhood dream of living in combination zoo, museum/art studio.
